Lesson 64 – The Sun Shines On

Things happen

Lives change

Roller coasters rattle

The sun shines on

One year older

A day at a time

What will tomorrow bring

Uncertainty

Confusion

Redemption

Despair

Ups and downs

Ins and outs

Still the sun shines on

Where to turn

Who to hear

The exit light is off

Words echo in my head

Staccato sounds

Floral scents

Fluorescent lights

And the sun shines on

The world turns

Pages flutter

Clouds pass

Rain falls

Phones ring

Children play

People cry

But still we eat

Still we drink

Still we love

Because the sun shines on
